  1. Assist in providing direct patient care under the supervision of experienced nurses.
  2. Learn and apply nursing skills and techniques in a real-life healthcare setting.
  3. Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing team.
  4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  6. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  7. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  8. Participate in educational opportunities and training programs to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
  9. Assist with the coordination of patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  10. Perform basic nursing tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and dressing wounds.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Enrollment In An Accredited Nursing Program: A Nurse Intern At Orlando Health Must Be Currently Enrolled In An Accredited Nursing Program In Order To Gain Hands-On Experience And Practical Application Of Their Nursing Skills.

  • Basic Life Support Certification: Candidates For The Nurse Intern Position Must Have A Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification, Which Includes Cpr And Aed Training. This Is Essential For Providing Immediate Care In Emergency Situations.

  • Clinical Experience In A Hospital Setting: Previous Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Similar Healthcare Setting Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of Patient Care And The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Nurse Intern, You Will Be Working Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Providing Quality Care And Creating A Positive Work Environment.
