  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of in-patient nursing units at Orlando Health.
  2. Ensure high-quality care is delivered to patients by implementing and enforcing hospital policies and procedures.
  3. Provide exceptional leadership and support to nursing staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction with care.
  5. Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and to meet organizational goals.
  6. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to achieve excellence in patient care.
  7. Create and manage budgets for in-patient nursing units, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.
  8. Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Coordinate and participate in staff training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff.
  10. Serve as a role model for nursing staff, demonstrating ethical and professional behavior at all times.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in nursing operations, quality improvement, and patient care.
  12. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the nursing department.
  13. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients, and stakeholders.
  14. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in healthcare.
  15. Act as a liaison between nursing staff and senior management, providing regular updates on departmental performance and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Nursing Operations Manager At Orlando Health Must Possess At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing To Ensure A Strong Foundation In Clinical Knowledge And Expertise.

  • Active Rn License: This Role Requires An Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Requirements To Practice Nursing In The State.

  • Minimum 5 Years Of Clinical Experience: To Effectively Manage The Operations Of An In-Patient Nursing Unit, The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Registered Nurse. This Provides A Strong Understanding Of The Day-To-Day Activities And Challenges Faced By The Nursing Staff.

  • Leadership Experience: The Nursing Operations Manager Must Have Previous Leadership Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Managing A Team, Setting And Achieving Goals, And Developing And Implementing Policies And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance: Orlando Health Is Committed To Providing High-Quality Care While Complying With All Healthcare Regulations And Standards. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Regulations And Be Able To Ensure Compliance Within The Nursing Unit.
