- Provide exceptional patient care by accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions and preparing medications for dispensing.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing and labeling medications.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing.
- Maintain inventory levels and order medications and supplies as needed.
- Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members to provide exceptional customer service.
- Resolve patient and insurance inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay informed about new medications, procedures, and regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards patients, colleagues, and the overall healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all medications and transactions.
- Assist with other pharmacy duties as needed, such as inventory management, compounding, and medication reconciliation.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency and quality of the pharmacy department.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician At Orlando Health Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education, As This Demonstrates Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: Candidates Should Have A Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed A Recognized Training Program And Has Passed The National Certification Exam.
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations And Procedures, Including Proper Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Knowledge Of Drug Classifications.
