
Pharmacy Technician III, Variable Full Time

As a Pharmacy Technician III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications to our patients. - Accurately and safely prepare and dispense medications to patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked pharmacy inventory, ensuring that all medications are properly labeled and stored.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns related to medications and prescriptions.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications for patients.
- Monitor and track medication orders, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations and dosage conversions as needed.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations related to pharmacy operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on new medications, procedures, and technologies.
- Handle medication recalls and returns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to medication orders.
- Keep work area clean and organized, following all safety and infection control protocols.
- Mentor and train new pharmacy technicians as needed.
- Collaborate with pharmacy team to identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Continuously demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services to patients and their families.
Certification As A Pharmacy Technician: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Valid Certification As A Pharmacy Technician, Such As The Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Designation From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Previous Experience: A Minimum Of Three Years Of Experience As A Pharmacy Technician Is Required For This Role, With A Preference For Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: The Pharmacy Technician Iii Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Pharmacy Software Systems.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role As The Pharmacy Technician Iii Will Be Required To Interact With Pharmacists, Physicians, And Patients On A Daily Basis. The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively Is Crucial For Ensuring The Safe And Efficient Delivery Of Medication.
