- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans under the supervision of a physician
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, such as ordering and interpreting lab tests and imaging studies
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by a physician
- Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, including referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Stay updated on the latest medical developments and best practices in order to provide the highest quality of care to patients
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare professionals, including physician assistants and medical students.
A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Biology Or Healthcare Administration.
A Master's Degree From An Accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Board Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Healthcare Team.
