  1. Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for adolescent patients in accordance with their medical needs and overall health goals.
  2. Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits, including specific dietary recommendations for various health conditions.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  4. Conduct nutrition assessments and provide ongoing monitoring and support to patients to ensure they are meeting their nutritional goals.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate this knowledge into patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient progress and communicate updates to the healthcare team as needed.
  7. Create educational materials and resources for patients and their families to support their understanding and adherence to recommended dietary changes.
  8. Provide counseling and support to patients struggling with disordered eating habits or other nutrition-related issues.
  9. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and improvement of nutrition programs and services.
  10. Adhere to all professional and ethical standards, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient autonomy.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth in the field of nutrition and healthcare.
  12. Serve as a positive and knowledgeable representative of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children's Adolescent Medicine team and Orlando Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics From An Accredited Institution.

  • Completed Internship Or Supervised Practice Program Approved By The Accreditation Council For Education In Nutrition And Dietetics (Acend).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Adolescent Nutrition.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Nutrition Practices And Ability To Develop And Implement Individualized Nutrition Plans For Adolescent Patients.
