
Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab

As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac conditions. Your responsibilities will include assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, and providing patient education and support. To excel in this role, you must possess a current RN license in the state of Florida and have a minimum of two years of experience in a cardiac care setting. Additionally, certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. - Administering medications to patients during cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to any changes or concerns.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Assisting with pre-procedure and post-procedure patient preparation and care.
- Educating patients and their families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-procedure care.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
- Responding to emergency situations and providing critical care as needed.
- Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment and supplies in the cardiac cath lab.
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Continuously evaluating and assessing patient progress and developing appropriate care plans.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current on advancements in cardiac care.
- Providing emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Leading and delegating tasks to other team members as needed.
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Representing Orlando Health with professionalism and dedication to exceptional patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification.
Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Catheterization Lab Or Intensive Care Unit (Icu).
Knowledge And Experience With Cardiac Catheterization Procedures, Including But Not Limited To Angioplasty, Stent Placement, And Electrophysiology Studies.
