  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
  2. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-hospital care.
  6. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as professional standards of nursing practice.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
  8. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide a positive and supportive environment.
  11. Stay up-to-date with current pediatric nursing practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  12. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
  13. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a seamless and comprehensive care experience.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional care and upholding the mission and values of Orlando Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Equivalent From An Accredited Institution

  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Florida

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (Picu)

  • Certification In Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) And Basic Life Support (Bls)

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
