Job Description

Orlando Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team as a Pool/Per Diem PACU Nurse. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality and personalized care to patients recovering from surgery.   1. Provide high-quality and personalized care to patients recovering from surgery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs, assess their level of consciousness, and evaluate their recovery progress.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and potential complications.
  6. Respond to changes in patients' conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  8. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices in PACU nursing.
  10. Act as an advocate for patients' rights and needs.
  11. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  14. Adaptable to changing situations and able to think critically in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Pacu Or Critical Care Setting

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications

  • Strong Assessment And Critical Thinking Skills

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Excellent Communication And Time Management Skills.
