- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate department or individual.
- Schedule appointments and maintain accurate and up-to-date appointment calendars.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect copays or other payments as required.
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary.
- Manage patient registration and check-in processes.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Train and supervise junior front office assistants.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
- Handle patient complaints and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and order office supplies to ensure adequacy for daily operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office area.
- Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Act as a resource for junior front office assistants and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Front Office Or Administrative Role Within A Healthcare Setting.
Proficiency In Using Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems And Other Office Software Such As Microsoft Office.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Staff, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment.
