
Advanced Diesel Technician
Some of the duties can be, but not limited to the following:
- Communicating with customers as a part of the check-in and check-out process
- Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components.
- Complete work order paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job function.
- Ability to work independently, with flexibility to support other technicians to create efficiencies to meet customer needs
- Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems utilizing both mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.
- Ability to repair more complex issues with truck-trailer, not limited to wiring issues, advance level component replacements, etc.
- Ability to make road calls for customers that are not able to make it into the service center
Safety conscious and knowledge of general shop safety
Basic knowledge of Ministry of Transportation rules and requirements
1 - 4+ years of truck-trailer experience
DOT and CDL license to be able to test drive trucks after advance level repairs have been completed
