Job Description

We’re looking for an outstanding Communications Coordinator to join Pacific Gas and Electric! The ideal candidate will be a creative and organized individual with excellent communication and project management skills. They should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff, and a proven track record of managing successful communication campaigns.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field, as well as a minimum of five years’ experience in a communications role. They should also possess strong writing and editing skills, as well as an understanding of digital and traditional media platforms. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute successful communications campaigns for Pacific Gas and Electric
  2. Draft and edit communications materials such as press releases, website content, social media posts, and emails
  3. Collaborate with all levels of staff to ensure effective communication channels
  4. Monitor and measure communication campaigns to ensure desired outcomes are met
  5. Utilize digital and traditional media platforms to promote campaigns
  6. Remain up-to-date on best practices and trends in communications and social justice
  7. Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines
  8. Provide support for internal and external stakeholders on communications-related matters
  9. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
