Job Description

At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are currently looking for an experienced and talented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security best practices, a passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends, and the technical background to successfully detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security systems across all levels of the organization.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. In addition, they must have a comprehensive knowledge of security protocols and cyber threats, as well as a strong attention to detail. A proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and/or shell scripting is also desirable.If you have the necessary qualifications and are excited to join our team, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Monitor and evaluate the organization’s security systems to ensure they meet industry standards and best practices.
Analyze security threats and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Implement security policies and procedures across all departments.
Investigate and respond to incidents of data breaches.
Research and stay up-to-date on new cybersecurity technology and trends.
Prepare reports and documentation for IT staff and management.
Train staff on security policies and procedures.
Develop scripts and programs to automate security tasks.
Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all security-related software and hardware.
