
Cybersecurity Analyst
Pacific Gas and Electric is currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. With an emphasis on protecting sensitive data, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining our IT security infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical and managerial skills necessary to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks. They should have a strong understanding of security protocols, tools, and best practices, as well as a deep knowledge of the latest security technologies. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Analyst should be able to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the security of our network and systems.Required qualifications for this role include:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in information security• Advanced knowledge of network security, encryption technologies, and authentication protocols• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001, and COBIT• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications are a plus
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain IT security infrastructure and systems to protect sensitive data.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks.
- Monitor security protocols, tools, and best practices to ensure up-to-date security.
- Stay abreast of the latest security technologies.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the security of the network and systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot potential security issues.
- Provide recommendations to improve security protocols and processes.
- Prepare and maintain security policy documents.
- Maintain compliance with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001, and COBIT.
- Provide training and guidance to other team members on security protocols and procedures.
