Cybersecurity Analyst
At Pacific Gas and Electric, we are looking for an experienced and qualified Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team and support our digital security efforts. This critical role will require an individual with the right technical know-how and interpersonal skills to ensure our network and data remain secure. We are seeking someone who can think analytically and proactively develop and implement solutions that will protect our valuable digital assets. In addition to a mastery of cybersecurity technologies, the successful candidate will have a desire to work collaboratively and a drive to stay up to date on the latest security trends. If you are a self-starter who is passionate about cybersecurity and wants to make an impact in a fast-paced environment, then this job is for you.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field- At least 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role- Proficiency in network security, systems security, authentication protocols, and intrusion detection systems- Experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, packet sniffers, and firewalls- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security solutions to protect Pacific Gas and Electric's digital assets.
- Monitor networks and systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security trends and technologies.
- Configure and deploy security tools such as vulnerability scanners, packet sniffers, and firewalls.
- Analyze security log files and reports and take steps to address any detected threats.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure security protocols are enforced.
- Troubleshoot and investigate security incidents.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of security architectures, policies, and processes.
- Train and educate personnel on security policies and best practices.
