
Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join the Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) team! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our EHS compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in order to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of industry-standard EHS principles and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.If you have a passion for protecting the environment and the safety of our workplace, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and inspect the workplace to ensure safety and health standards are met.
- Investigate and report all workplace accidents and incidents.
- Provide regular safety and health training to employees.
- Create and maintain safety documentation, such as incident reports and safety audits.
- Analyze and evaluate environmental and safety risks to recommend changes and improvements.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and disposal.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities.
- Remain up-to-date with industry-specific regulations and requirements.
