Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join the Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) team! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our EHS compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in order to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of industry-standard EHS principles and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.If you have a passion for protecting the environment and the safety of our workplace, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Monitor and inspect the workplace to ensure safety and health standards are met.
  3. Investigate and report all workplace accidents and incidents.
  4. Provide regular safety and health training to employees.
  5. Create and maintain safety documentation, such as incident reports and safety audits.
  6. Analyze and evaluate environmental and safety risks to recommend changes and improvements.
  7. Oversee hazardous waste management and disposal.
  8. Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  9. Liaise with external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities.
  10. Remain up-to-date with industry-specific regulations and requirements.
