
Environmental Scientist
We at Pacific Gas and Electric are looking for a passionate and dedicated Environmental Scientist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will need to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field and at least two years of experience in a similar role. Experience with GIS and air and water quality analysis are a plus. You should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental policies and programs that ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the impacts of activities on the environment, such as air and water quality, waste management, and biodiversity.
- Use GIS and other software to analyze environmental data and prepare reports.
- Develop and present educational materials to the public and other stakeholders on environmental topics.
- Conduct field investigations and collect samples for analysis.
- Manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of environmental data.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement environmental initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations on environmental topics for review by management.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental laws and regulations.
