GIS Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining geographic information system (GIS) applications and databases. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical skills and knowledge of GIS technologies.To be successful in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field, as well as at least two years of experience in GIS development. Additionally, you must have a working knowledge of the ESRI suite of tools, including ArcGIS, ArcServer, and ArcSDE. You must also be comfortable working with a variety of data sources, including spatial data, and must have a strong understanding of relational databases. Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, is also desirable.We are looking for a professional with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, a creative approach to problem-solving, and an aptitude for learning new technologies. Responsibilities:

• Utilize the ESRI suite of tools, including ArcGIS, ArcServer, and ArcSDE, to develop and maintain GIS applications and databases
• Work with a variety of data sources, including spatial data, to create accurate and comprehensive GIS applications
• Utilize scripting languages, such as Python, to create custom GIS solutions
• Analyze and interpret GIS data to identify trends and patterns
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency of GIS applications and databases
• Troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related problems
• Research and develop new GIS technologies and applications
• Design and implement GIS strategies and processes
• Generate reports and present GIS findings to stakeholders
