Oversee and manage all aspects of vegetation management operations, including planning, scheduling, and implementation of programs.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in regards to vegetation management activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as government agencies, contractors, and community organizations, to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of vegetation management programs, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
Lead and supervise a team of vegetation management technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
Create and maintain budgets for vegetation management operations, and ensure that resources are utilized efficiently.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of vegetation management activities and identify potential hazards.
Collaborate with other departments within the organization to develop and implement strategies for improving the reliability and safety of power lines.
Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in vegetation management, and make recommendations for implementing new technologies and best practices.
Act as a representative of the company in public forums and meetings, promoting the importance of responsible vegetation management and addressing any concerns or inquiries from stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Vegetation Management Techniques: A Supervisor Of Vegetation Management Operations At Pacific Gas And Electric Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Vegetation Management Techniques, Including Pruning, Trimming, And Herbicide Application.
Experience In Utility Operations: This Position Requires Experience In The Utility Industry, Specifically In Vegetation Management Operations. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Utility Infrastructure And Regulations.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Supervisor, Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. Candidates Should Have Experience Managing A Team And The Ability To Effectively Delegate Tasks And Provide Guidance To Team Members.
Safety Training And Certification: Safety Is A Top Priority At Pacific Gas And Electric, And The Supervisor Of Vegetation Management Operations Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures. Candidates Should Have Relevant Safety Training And Certifications, Such As Osha 30 Or Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (Ctsp).
