  1. Provide technical expertise and support to State, Local, and Education (SLED) clients.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
  3. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and value of our products and services.
  4. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify and develop new business opportunities in the SLED sector.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings to continuously improve our solution offerings.
  6. Act as the primary technical point of contact for SLED clients, addressing any technical questions or concerns.
  7. Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback and suggestions for product enhancements and improvements.
  8. Provide ongoing support to clients, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  9. Train and educate clients on the use and integration of our products and services.
  10. Travel to client sites to conduct onsite technical support and presentations as needed.
  11. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in CRM system.
  12. Participate in conferences, trade shows, and other industry events to promote our solutions and increase brand awareness.
  13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solutions to clients.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on our products and services, providing guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
  15. Continuously improve and enhance technical knowledge and skills to stay ahead of industry advancements and effectively support client needs.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Knowledge: A Solutions Consultant 2 (Pre Sales Engineer) Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Network Security And Related Technologies Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection And Prevention, Vpn, And Cloud Security. This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Trends, Competitive Landscape, And Emerging Technologies.

  • Experience In Sales Engineering: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Sales Engineering Or Pre-Sales Role, Preferably In The Sled (State, Local, And Education) Sector. This Experience Should Include Developing And Delivering Technical Presentations And Demonstrations To Customers, As Well As Responding To Rfps And Rfis.

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills: A Solutions Consultant 2 Must Possess Exceptional Communication And Presentation Skills To Effectively Articulate The Technical Capabilities And Value Propositions Of Palo Alto Networks Solutions To Customers. This Includes The Ability To Adapt The Message To Different Audiences And To Confidently Handle Objections And Questions.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: As A Key Member Of The Sales Team, A Solutions Consultant 2 Must Have Strong Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities. This Includes The Ability To Understand The Customer's Business Needs, Identify Technical Challenges, And Recommend Tailored Solutions To Address Those Challenges.

  • Team Player And Customer-Oriented Attitude: The Role Of A Solutions Consultant 2 Requires Collaboration With Various Teams, Including Sales, Product Development, And Support. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Team Player Attitude And A Customer-Centric Mindset, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Customers And Internal Stakeholders.
