Desktop Systems Engineer

Paychex is looking for a highly motivated Desktop Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization’s PC and Mac systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and problem-solving skills, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, PowerShell, DHCP, and SCCM is required. Experience with Mac OS and training/certifications in ITIL and CompTIA are preferred. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and manage the performance of all PC and Mac systems.
2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software applications.
3. Identify system and network performance issues and take corrective action.
4. Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
5. Develop and maintain system documentation.
6. Monitor system security to ensure that all systems are secure and compliant with organizational policies.
7. Respond to technical support requests from users and provide appropriate solutions.
8. Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and strategies.
9. Train and support users on system operations and software applications.
10. Provide on-call support as needed.
