Job Description

At Paycom, we are looking for a driven and highly motivated Desktop Administrator to join our dynamic team. This individual should be an experienced professional with a strong technical background, excellent customer service skills, and an aptitude for problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of desktop hardware and software, networking concepts, and IT service management practices.This person should be a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should also be able to interact with stakeholders at all levels and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Desktop Administrator will be responsible for providing technical support, resolving incidents, and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the desktop environment.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. In addition, they must have at least three years of experience in a desktop administrator, IT support, or related role. An A+ certification or equivalent experience is preferred. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support to users in the organization through troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  2. Resolve desktop-related incidents in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain the day-to-day operations of the desktop environment.
  4. Monitor and manage desktop-related performance metrics.
  5. Perform software and hardware upgrades.
  6. Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  7. Liaise with vendors for troubleshooting, maintenance, and support services.
  8. Develop and document desktop-related processes and procedures.
  9. Train users on new desktop-related technologies.
  10. Stay abreast of the latest desktop-related technologies and best practices.
