- Assist in recruitment and selection processes, such as reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, training records, and performance evaluations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating employee events and activities.
- Conduct research and analysis on HR trends and best practices to make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with HR team members to support employee development and training initiatives.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide support to address any HR-related issues.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR communications and materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving HR processes and practices.
- Learn and utilize HR software and systems to support HR functions.
- Complete administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by HR team members.
- Act as a positive and professional representative of PCL Construction at all times.
Strong Understanding Of Hr Principles And Practices: This Includes Knowledge Of Employment Laws, Recruitment And Selection Processes, Performance Management, And Employee Relations.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Hr Student, You Will Be Required To Communicate Effectively With Employees At All Levels Of The Organization. This Includes Written, Verbal, And Interpersonal Skills.
Proficient In Hr Software And Systems: Pcl Construction May Use Various Hr Software And Systems For Tasks Such As Payroll, Performance Evaluations, And Applicant Tracking. Proficiency In These Systems Is Essential For This Role.
Attention To Detail: Hr Tasks Often Involve Dealing With Sensitive And Confidential Information. It Is Important To Have Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Maintain Confidentiality.
