Assistant Designer - Apparel & Accessories

The Design Assistant provides design and administrative support to the Design Team in the development of Petco Private Brands seasonal assortment of toys, apparel, home assortments, etc. This role is responsible for the execution of design packs and product specifications and maintaining organized data bases of sample/materials/lab dip approvals. Support the Design Team in planning and design of seasonal assortments of private brand toys, apparel, accessories, home collections and prints to differentiate and elevate Petco merchandise from the competition. Technical Design execution of design packs and product specifications. Lab dip/material/sample logging to maintain organized records of all design approvals. Design project management ensuring team is organized and on timeline, informed of any calendar/project updates, identifies process bottlenecks and suggests solutions.
