- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Petco's brand voice, values, and target audience in order to create effective and engaging messaging.
- Lead a team of copywriters in brainstorming, conceptualizing, and executing high-quality and impactful copy for various channels including print, digital, social media, and in-store materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, design, and product to ensure consistency and alignment in brand messaging and strategy.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality copy that meets business objectives.
- Continuously research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in copywriting and storytelling to drive innovation and creativity in brand messaging.
- Provide feedback and guidance to team members to help develop their skills and ensure consistency in brand messaging.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all copy is accurate, compliant, and aligns with brand guidelines.
- Develop and maintain copy style guides and standards to ensure consistency and cohesiveness across all channels and touchpoints.
- Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to oversee the production of high-quality copy for campaigns and projects.
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing Petco's brand and values in all communications and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In Marketing, Advertising, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Copywriting And Brand Creative Development.
Strong Understanding Of The Pet Industry And Current Market Trends.
Excellent Writing, Editing, And Proofreading Skills With A Keen Eye For Detail.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing A Team Of Copywriters And Creatives.
