Scientist, Protein Biology & Crystallization

We are seeking a protein crystallization specialist to join the Structural Biology group at Pfizer- Boulder Research and Development Unit. This individual will work closely with our protein crystallographer to express, purify, and crystallize a variety of challenging proteins for use in both structural and mechanistic studies. Perform E. coli growth and recombinant protein expressions at liter-scale. Establish purification protocol and purify recombinant proteins from source cells. Design and conduct protein crystallization trials, crystal optimization, and X-ray data collection. Document experimental data. Communicate research priority, progress, and results with project teams. Contribute to written and oral presentations related to research findings. Provides technical and scientific guidance to junior research associates within the team.
