Job Description

The Philadelphia Gas Works is seeking a highly motivated and experienced GIS Analyst to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about GIS and has the technical know-how to use the technology to solve complex challenges. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geospatial data analysis, spatial modeling, cartography, and GIS software development. We are looking for an individual who is capable of working both independently and collaboratively to analyze, interpret, and present complex data. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a creative approach to GIS.The GIS Analyst must have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field, with at least two years of professional experience in GIS and spatial analysis. Expertise in ESRI software products, including ArcGIS, is essential. The successful candidate should also have experience with database management, scripting, and web mapping technologies. We are looking for an individual who has the ability to create high-quality maps and visualize complex data. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze, interpret, and present complex geospatial data.
  2. Develop GIS software solutions to solve complex challenges.
  3. Create high-quality maps and visualize complex data.
  4. Utilize and maintain expertise in ESRI software products, including ArcGIS.
  5. Manage databases and utilize scripting and web mapping technologies.
  6. Work collaboratively and independently to meet project goals.
  7. Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  8. Maintain a creative approach to GIS.
