  1. Develop and implement strategies for improving patient safety within the healthcare industry.
  2. Stay up-to-date on medical regulations and standards and ensure compliance in all enterprise informatics solutions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify safety risks and develop solutions to mitigate them.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and audits to evaluate the safety of existing and new informatics products.
  5. Provide guidance and support to product development teams in implementing safety features and protocols.
  6. Monitor and analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for changes.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert on medical safety regulations and standards for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  8. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety best practices and regulations.
  9. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers and regulatory agencies, to ensure transparency and compliance.
  10. Participate in industry conferences and events to stay current on emerging trends and best practices in medical safety and informatics.
  11. Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety-related policies and procedures.
  12. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure accurate and compliant messaging related to safety features in informatics solutions.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve safety processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety for patients and healthcare organizations.
  14. Handle any safety-related complaints or issues and work to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
  15. Represent the company in safety-related discussions and negotiations with external partners and regulatory agencies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Informatics Or Related Field: A Medical Safety Manager At Philips Should Possess A Strong Educational Foundation In Health Informatics Or A Related Field To Understand The Complexities Of Implementing Safety Protocols In An Enterprise Informatics System.

  • Experience In Medical Device Industry: This Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of Medical Devices And Their Associated Safety Regulations. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In The Medical Device Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Standards: A Medical Safety Manager Should Be Well-Versed In Local And International Safety Regulations And Standards, Such As Iso 14971 And Iec 62304, To Ensure Compliance And Proper Risk Management.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Member Of The Informatics Team, The Medical Safety Manager Will Need To Effectively Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Engineers, Developers, And Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.

  • Project Management Experience: The Medical Safety Manager Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Implementation Of Safety Protocols In Enterprise Informatics Systems. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Project Management To Effectively Plan, Execute, And Monitor Safety Initiatives.
