  1. Lead and manage the development of surgical robotic systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and clinicians, to design and develop innovative surgical robotics solutions.
  3. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify system requirements and translate them into design specifications.
  4. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion of projects.
  5. Oversee the testing and validation of surgical robotic systems to ensure they meet regulatory and industry standards.
  6. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues or risks that may impact timelines or deliverables.
  7. Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in surgical robotics technology to inform and improve the development process.
  9. Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders, including management, customers, and external partners.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including regulatory requirements, to ensure compliance and safety in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Surgical Robotics: A R&D Senior/Lead Systems Engineer At Philips Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Developing Surgical Robotics Systems. This Includes Both Hardware And Software Development, As Well As A Deep Understanding Of Surgical Procedures And Workflows.

  • Strong Technical Background: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering, With A Focus On Medical Device Development. They Should Have A Good Understanding Of System Architecture, Control Systems, And Sensors Used In Surgical Robotics.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Lead Engineer, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Managing Projects From Conception To Commercialization. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Team Members, As Well As External Stakeholders Such As Physicians And Suppliers.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: A R&D Senior/Lead Systems Engineer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Regulatory Requirements For Medical Devices, Specifically In The Surgical Robotics Space. They Should Have Experience In Developing Products That Meet Fda And Other Global Regulatory Standards.
