- Develop and implement effective career services programs and initiatives to support the career goals of students at Pima Medical Institute.
- Provide individualized career counseling and guidance to students, including resume and cover letter review, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers in the healthcare industry to create job opportunities for students.
- Coordinate job fairs, networking events, and other career-related events to connect students with potential employers.
- Stay up-to-date on current job market trends and industry demands to effectively advise students on career options.
- Serve as a liaison between students and potential employers to facilitate job placements and internships.
- Collaborate with academic departments to incorporate career development into the curriculum and ensure students are prepared for the workforce.
- Utilize career assessment tools to help students identify their skills, interests, and values and align them with appropriate career paths.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and job placement outcomes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve career services programs and offerings to meet the changing needs of students and the job market.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting professionalism and career success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in career services.
- Conduct outreach and marketing efforts to promote career services to current and prospective students.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure a comprehensive and seamless student experience.
- Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations related to career services.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Human Resources, Career Counseling, Or Education.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Career Services Or Job Placement Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Job Market Trends And Career Development Strategies.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Employers, Students, And Alumni.
Familiarity With Career Services Software And Databases, As Well As Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Social Media Platforms.
