  1. Develop and implement effective curriculum and lesson plans for pharmacy technician students.
  2. Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, labs, and practical demonstrations.
  3. Provide hands-on training and guidance to students in various pharmacy-related procedures.
  4. Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback and grades.
  5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  6. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of pharmacy to ensure students receive the most up-to-date education.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues and program directors to continuously improve the pharmacy technician program.
  8. Serve as a mentor and role model to students, instilling professionalism and ethical values.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  10. Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and trainings to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  11. Assist with the recruitment and enrollment of students into the pharmacy technician program.
  12. Provide career guidance and support to students, helping them prepare for the workforce.
  13. Adhere to all school policies and procedures, as well as state and national regulations for pharmacy technician education.

Job Qualifications
  • Education: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Or A Related Field Is Required For The Position Of Pharmacy Technician Instructor At Pima Medical Institute - Tucson. A Higher Degree, Such As A Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd), Is Preferred.

  • Licensure And Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid License As A Pharmacy Technician In The State Of Arizona. Certification Through The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Is Also Required.

  • Teaching Experience: Previous Experience Teaching In A Pharmacy Technician Program Is Highly Preferred. The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Teaching In A Post-Secondary Education Setting.

  • Industry Experience: In Addition To Teaching Experience, The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician In A Retail Or Hospital Setting. This Ensures That The Instructor Has A Deep Understanding Of The Practical Aspects Of The Job.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Pharmacy Technician Instructor Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills In Order To Effectively Teach And Interact With Students, Faculty, And Staff. They Must Be Able To Adapt Their Teaching Style To Various Learning Styles And Have The Ability To Provide Constructive Feedback To Students.
