- Conduct research on various reproductive health policies, legislation, and advocacy efforts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of advocacy strategies and campaigns.
- Draft policy briefs, fact sheets, and other materials to support our advocacy efforts.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments related to reproductive rights and healthcare access.
- Collaborate with our policy team to identify and track key policy priorities and opportunities.
- Attend and report on relevant hearings, briefings, and events related to reproductive health.
- Support the organization's grassroots advocacy efforts, including mobilizing supporters and engaging with lawmakers.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating meetings and events with policymakers and community partners.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of policy research, analysis, and advocacy efforts.
- Help to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including legislators, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Contribute to our social media and communications efforts to raise awareness about reproductive health issues and our advocacy work.
- Actively participate in team meetings and provide updates on policy research and advocacy efforts.
- Stay up-to-date on current events and trends related to reproductive health and social justice.
- Adhere to the organization's mission and values, and represent the organization in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Complete any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the policy team.
Knowledge Of Reproductive Health Policy: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Current Policies Related To Reproductive Health, Including Contraception, Abortion, And Sexual Education.
Research And Analytical Skills: The Ability To Research And Analyze Policy Issues And Present Findings In A Clear And Concise Manner Is Essential For This Role. Experience Conducting Policy Research And Writing Reports Is Preferred.
Communication Skills: As A Policy Intern, You Will Be Expected To Communicate With A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Legislators, Community Members, And Other Organizations. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Necessary.
Organizational Skills: This Internship Will Involve Managing Multiple Projects And Deadlines. The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Meet Deadlines, And Pay Attention To Detail Is Crucial.
