
Assistant Buyer, Office Furniture
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our Office Furniture team at Pottery Barn. This individual will be an integral part of our team, responsible for helping to drive product selection, pricing, and marketing strategy. If you are an excellent communicator who is passionate about the Pottery Barn brand, then we want to hear from you!The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, along with a minimum of two years' experience in a retail buying or product management role. They must also have excellent research and analytical skills, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel. Knowledge and experience of the home furnishings industry is also preferred. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for style and design, and an ability to understand customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Office Furniture team to develop product selection, pricing, and marketing strategies.
- Research and analyze data in order to anticipate customer needs.
- Manage Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, to develop reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in the development of style and design for products.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the home furnishings industry.
- Prepare and submit reports to senior management.
- Monitor sales activities and adjust product selection accordingly.
- Represent the Pottery Barn brand in a professional and positive manner.
