In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate birth records for our patients, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.   1. Manage and maintain accurate birth records for all patients, following state and federal regulations.
  2. Ensure timely and efficient processing of birth registrations.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other departments to obtain necessary information for birth records.
  4. Review and verify all information on birth records for accuracy and completeness.
  5. Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and policies related to birth registrations.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to obtain necessary information and explain the process of birth registration.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient records.
  8. Utilize electronic health record systems to accurately enter and update birth records.
  9. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with birth records in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Assist with audits and quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  11. Train and educate staff on proper procedures for birth registration and record keeping.
  12. Monitor and track birth records to ensure they are completed and filed within designated time frames.
  13. Maintain organized and accurate records of all birth registrations.
  14. Collaborate with insurance companies and government agencies to ensure proper billing and reimbursement for birth services.
  15. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions related to birth records.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management, Health Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Certified Birth Registrar (Cbr) Or Certified Health Information Technician (Chit) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Birth Registration And Medical Record Management.

  • Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Birth Registration And Medical Records.

  • Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
