Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant - Pediatrics to join our team.This position is responsible for providing care and support to our pediatric patients and their families. The Medical Assistant - Pediatrics will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to physicians and other members of the healthcare team. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare, and a passion for helping children.Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical environment • Understanding of medical terminology • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families • Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work well independently and in a team environmentIf you have a passion for working with children and families and you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the patients we serve, then this is the job for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
  2. Greet and check in pediatric patients and their families.
  3. Obtain vitals, perform lab tests, and administer medications as needed.
  4. Assist physicians with medical procedures.
  5. Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
  6. Provide patient education regarding their treatment plan.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the pediatric clinic.
  8. Answer patient inquiries and provide appropriate follow-up.
  9. Ensure compliance with all HIPAA and other applicable laws.
  10. Keep up to date on the latest advancements and best practices in pediatric healthcare.
