
Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant - Pediatrics to join our team.This position is responsible for providing care and support to our pediatric patients and their families. The Medical Assistant - Pediatrics will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to physicians and other members of the healthcare team. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare, and a passion for helping children.Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical environment • Understanding of medical terminology • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families • Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work well independently and in a team environmentIf you have a passion for working with children and families and you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the patients we serve, then this is the job for you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Greet and check in pediatric patients and their families.
- Obtain vitals, perform lab tests, and administer medications as needed.
- Assist physicians with medical procedures.
- Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education regarding their treatment plan.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the pediatric clinic.
- Answer patient inquiries and provide appropriate follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA and other applicable laws.
- Keep up to date on the latest advancements and best practices in pediatric healthcare.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma)
Previous Experience Working In A Pediatric Office
Ability To Take And Record Vital Signs
