
Medical Receptionist - Physical Therapy

- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and friendly manner upon arrival to the physical therapy department.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, physicians, and other medical staff.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment book for the physical therapy team.
- Verify patient information and update medical records as needed.
- Collect and process patient payments and insurance information accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a positive and professional atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other team members to ensure a smooth flow of operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail when managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and processing payments.
- Multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficient and timely patient care.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with the physical therapy team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings to stay updated on policies and procedures.
- Act as a positive representative of Presbyterian Healthcare Services and promote a caring and supportive culture.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the patient experience and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Medical Receptionist At Presbyterian Healthcare Services Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology In Order To Accurately Schedule Appointments, Communicate With Patients, And Assist With Medical Billing And Coding.
Experience In A Medical Office Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Medical Office, Particularly In A Physical Therapy Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Specific Needs And Procedures Of A Physical Therapy Practice.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Medical Receptionist, Strong Communication Skills Are Essential. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Friendly And Professional Manner.
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems: Presbyterian Healthcare Services Utilizes Electronic Medical Record Systems To Manage Patient Information. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Using These Systems And Be Comfortable Navigating And Inputting Data Into Them.
