Nursing Tech - Emergency Room

Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field • Current New Mexico license as a Licensed Practical Nurse • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification • Minimum of one year experience in a clinical environment • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment • Ability to collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative

Responsibilities:

1. Perform clinical tasks and procedures in accordance with established protocols in the Emergency Room setting.
2. Monitor and assess patients’ responses to treatments and medications.
3. Assist with direct patient care activities such as vital signs, wound care, and patient positioning.
4. Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
5. Utilize technical skills to manage medical equipment.
6. Document patient care and treatment information in the patient’s medical record.
7. Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
9. Maintain professional development through continuing education and in-service training.
10. Comply with all standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
