Job Description

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is looking for a highly motivated and organized Patient Registrar to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a customer service-oriented professional with a passion for providing excellent service to our patients. The Patient Registrar will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely registration of patients and their accompanying data.To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in patient registration and/or customer service. You must be detail-oriented and have the ability to quickly and accurately enter data into computer systems. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and register patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Collect and accurately enter patient information into the computer system.
  3. Ensure that all required documents and signatures are completed and obtained.
  4. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
  5. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
  6. Respond to inquiries and requests from patients and their families.
  7. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
  8. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
  9. Ensure that all patient data is accurate and up to date.
  10. Work collaboratively with other departments and staff.
