
Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Oncology

- Dispensing medications: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications to patients according to the prescription provided by the pharmacist.
- Ensuring patient safety: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for following all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safe handling and distribution of medications to patients.
- Collaborating with healthcare team: The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the appropriate medications and dosages, and to address any medication-related concerns or issues.
- Maintaining inventory: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of medications and supplies, and ordering new supplies as needed.
- Providing patient education: The Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in educating patients on how to properly take their medications, potential side effects, and any other relevant information.

- Maintaining confidentiality: The Pharmacy Technician will maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Participating in training and development: The Pharmacy Technician will participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on new medications, procedures, and regulations related to the field of oncology.
Completion Of An Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Credential From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Pharmacy Technician In An Outpatient Or Specialty Pharmacy Setting.
Understanding Of Chemotherapy And Other Oncology Medications, Including Proper Handling And Storage.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
