RN - Intensive Care Unit

Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse (RN) on an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Team:

1. Provide direct patient care and monitor patient progress in accordance with physician orders and established nursing protocols.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
3. Document patient information and care in medical records.
4. Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
5. Assist with patient mobility and transfers.
6. Communicate with patients and family members to keep them informed of the patient’s condition.
7. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure quality and continuity of care.
8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
9. Educate patients and family members on disease prevention and health maintenance.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
