- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for each patient based on their specific needs and conditions.
- Implement evidence-based physical therapy techniques and interventions to promote optimal physical function and mobility in pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to provide holistic care for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to continue at home for ongoing progress.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Is Required To Be Considered For The Position Of Inpatient Physical Therapist At Kidnetics Pediatrics. This Degree Should Be From An Accredited Institution And Should Cover Coursework In Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, And Therapeutic Techniques.
State Licensure: All Physical Therapists Must Hold A Valid License To Practice In The State Where They Are Employed. At Prisma Health, Candidates For The Inpatient Physical Therapist Position At Kidnetics Pediatrics Must Be Licensed By The South Carolina Board Of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Previous Experience In Pediatric Physical Therapy: While Not Necessarily A Requirement, Previous Experience Working As A Physical Therapist In A Pediatric Setting, Particularly In An Inpatient Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This Experience Can Demonstrate An Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Working With Children And Their Families.
Cpr And First Aid Certification: In Order To Provide Safe And Effective Care To Pediatric Patients, Physical Therapists Must Hold Current Cpr And First Aid Certification. This Certification Should Be From An Accredited Organization And Must Be Kept Up To Date.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Inpatient Physical Therapist At Kidnetics Pediatrics, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential. Candidates Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As Excellent Interpersonal Abilities To Build Rapport With Patients And Their Families.
