  1. Provide exceptional care to patients undergoing procedures in the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Lab.
  2. Utilize state-of-the-art equipment to accurately diagnose and treat various gastrointestinal conditions.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care.
  4. Monitor and assess patient status before, during, and after procedures, and take appropriate action in response to any changes.
  5. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and any necessary follow-up care.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Continuously assess and improve upon nursing practices to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
  11. Adhere to the ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  12. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on advancements in gastrointestinal care.
  13. Serve as a role model and mentor for less experienced nursing staff.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Prisma Health in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Active Rn License In The State Of South Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Gastroenterology Or Endoscopy Setting.

  • Certification In Gastroenterology Nursing (Cgrn) Preferred.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Procedures And Equipment.
