  1. Evaluate, design, and fit custom prosthetic devices for patients with limb loss or limb difference.
  2. Provide comprehensive assessments and consultations to determine the most appropriate prosthetic solution for each patient's needs.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  4. Stay current with advancements in prosthetic technology and techniques, and incorporate them into patient care as appropriate.
  5. Ensure all clinical and administrative tasks related to prosthetic care are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  6. Educate patients and their families on the proper use and maintenance of their prosthetic devices.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, evaluations, and billing information.
  8. Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal results.
  9. Supervise and mentor junior prosthetists and other members of the prosthetic team.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the delivery of patient care.
  11. Uphold the values and mission of Prisma Health, including a commitment to excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
  12. Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of prosthetics.
  13. Keep abreast of insurance and reimbursement policies and guidelines to ensure proper billing and reimbursement for services rendered.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  15. Foster positive relationships with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Prosthetics, With A Focus On Designing And Fitting Advanced Prosthetic Devices.

  • Certification From The American Board For Certification In Orthotics, Prosthetics, And Pedorthics (Abc) As A Certified Prosthetist (Cp) Or Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (Cpo).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Current Prosthetic Technology And Industry Standards, Including Experience Working With Electronic And Microprocessor-Controlled Prosthetics.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.

  • Demonstrated Leadership And Mentoring Abilities, With A Desire To Train And Supervise Junior Prosthetists And Prosthetic Technicians.
