- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients using telemetry equipment
- Recognize and report any changes in heart rate, rhythm, and blood pressure to appropriate medical personnel
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient's cardiac status and any interventions performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and properly store and handle equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions or issues
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge in cardiac monitoring
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and promote a healthy community
- Display professionalism and compassion towards patients, families, and coworkers at all times.
Experience With Cardiac Monitoring: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working With Cardiac Monitoring Equipment And Interpreting Telemetry Data. This Includes Knowledge Of Arrhythmia Recognition, Ekg Interpretation, And Troubleshooting Technical Issues.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Telemetry Monitor Technician. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Terms Related To Cardiac Conditions, Medications, And Procedures To Accurately Document Patient Information.
Cpr Certification: As A Telemetry Monitor Technician, Candidates Will Need To Respond Quickly In Emergency Situations. Having Current Cpr Certification Is A Must To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Close Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role. Telemetry Monitor Technicians Are Responsible For Monitoring Multiple Patients At Once And Must Be Able To Accurately Document Any Changes In A Patient's Condition.
