HELLO!
I am Oluwatoyosi Fowode, a 29 year old Tv and Film Producer.
I am an adroit creative with over 7 years of experience producing , directing and managing tv, film and online content.
I started my career managing core social media platforms using unconventional digital marketing strategies. Honing my creativity helped develop creative and analytical approaches to problem solving, whilst exercising disciplined focus on effective execution. This transferable skill allowed my ultimate passion for storytelling come to life.
As an AMVCA award winning tv and film producer with a keen eye for detail, I have proven myself capable to oversee production operations. Responsibilities involving securing funding, keeping the production within the allocated budget, hiring key creatives/crew, scheduling, marketing and distribution are my forte.
In my professional capacity I ultimately ensure the success of a finished film, TV programme or video by working closely with directors and other production staff, either in a studio or on location, to ensure a creative and stable working environment for everyone involved in the project.
I am a member of a Creative Youth Advisory Council and I hope to create an environment where people can work together to form a collaborative community.

The 4th edition of Sip and Shot’s Margarita Fest was celebrated on Sunday, November 27th, 2022, and this year, they debuted the biggest Adult Funfair and Circus Lagos has ever seen!

At the immersive event, guests showed up looking glamorous; keeping to the dress code – “colourful and funky” and were treated to an array of games, live music, circus performances and unlimited margaritas. The Funfair was filled with acts such as fire spitters, unicyclists, clowns, stilt walkers, games, bouncy castles, ball pits, adult swings, and so much more.

Described as one of the biggest quirky circus fairs in Lagos, the Margarita Fest aims to bring adults together amidst the hustle and bustle of adulting, to unwind, let their hair down, have fun, feel like children again and make memories of simple moments in the sun.

Engaged In this fully-sponsored programme, offered through regional MTF academies in Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria and Zambia, in partnership with respected local tertiary education institutions. I got the chance to learn about filmmaking by making films, developing my skills in film and TV production alongside industry greats.
Worked with a multinational team in the academic and practical immersion programme including both theory and hands-on experience in cinematography, editing, audio production and storytelling.
Produced and directed A MicroDocumentary on PRIRACY for NYFA.
Lead Producer for a feature film called ‘LEAKED’ on Multichoices streaming platform SHOWMAX.
The movie stood amongst the top 20 movies on Showmax, it was nominated for the AMVCA 2023 and WON.
I was one of the 3 students presented with the “Best Multichoice Talent Factory” Award which afforded me a internship at Multichoice City in SOUTH AFRICA.
Also my team and I won the CEO’s enterepreneurship award with a prize money of 2 Million Naira to help fund our startup production company, ACE DIVERGENT.

Senior member of the production team. Skills used: Budgeting, scheduling, leadership, diplomacy, organization,communication and networking.
As the heart of the production, hiring the crew, allocating the money, and making sure the filming was done safely, creatively, on budget, and on time are primary.
Working closely with heads of departments, part of the decision making on how the money gets spent, delivering the best possible product to the lead Producer or series producer while offering the Director and heads of department enough money to realize the vision.
Ultimately responsible for all the crew and all the contracts. Hiring crew, heads of department, caterers, and studio facilities, overseeing all the deals and paperwork. Some of these tasks were delegated to the Production Manager who reports backs. Understanding the artistry of film-making; I foresee pitfalls and disasters and never let the spending extend beyond the bottom line. During production keep track of the budget and the filming process. ON SET and IN THE OFFICE, dealing with the unexpected and helping find creative solutions. At the end of the shoot, oversee the wrap or winding down of the production and hand-over to the Post- production Supervisor.

The Creative Youth Advisory Council (CYAC) is the non- executive partner in the governance structure of The Assembly which supports and establishes the work priorities of the organisation and makes recommendations for future priorities and programmes.
It is made up of 13 representatives from Africa and its main task is to advise the organisation on all questions relating to youth and the creative sector. Specifically, the Advisory Council helps to ensure youth agendas are mainstreamed into The organisation's programme of activities by providing opinions and proposals to the organisational team.
