1. Conduct thorough investigations of property damage claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
2. Evaluate and analyze claim information to accurately determine the appropriate course of action.
3. Negotiate settlements with policyholders, claimants, and attorneys in a fair and timely manner.
4. Utilize knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and industry standards to make informed decisions and recommendations.
5. Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to provide updates and obtain necessary information.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed claim records and documentation.
7. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state laws and regulations, throughout the claims handling process.
8. Participate in regular trainings and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
9. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.
10. Collaborate with other team members and departments to share knowledge and ensure efficient and accurate claim resolutions.
11. Mentor and train junior claims adjusters as needed.
12. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
