Job Description

At ProQuest, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Customer Care Librarian. We are looking for a customer-focused individual who has a passion for helping others and is knowledgeable about library services and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, library sciences, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.The Customer Care Librarian will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries, providing advice and support, and creating a positive customer experience. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.To be considered for this role, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in library sciences or a related field. Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of library systems and processes is also required. A commitment to providing excellent customer service, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.If you have a passion for helping others and a dedication to providing excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Provide advice and support to customers in regards to library services and products.
  3. Create a positive customer experience by being friendly, helpful, and courteous.
  4. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Utilize library systems and processes to provide accurate information to customers.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of library services and products.
  7. Maintain customer service standards by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  8. Monitor customer feedback and escalate any issues or complaints.
  9. Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  10. Develop and implement strategies to improve customer engagement and satisfaction.
