Senior Director, IP Counsel - Patent Attorney

ProQuest is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and creative Senior Director, IP Counsel - Patent Attorney to lead our global intellectual property team and protect our innovations. The ideal candidate will have a background in patent law and a passion for developing high-impact IP strategies.The Senior Director, IP Counsel - Patent Attorney will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of all aspects of ProQuest’s global intellectual property portfolio, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage ProQuest’s global intellectual property portfolio, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks.
2. Advise and collaborate with ProQuest's executive team, product and engineering teams, and other business units.
3. Provide strategic guidance and direction to the global IP team.
4. Ensure that ProQuest’s intellectual property is properly protected and enforced.
5. Research and develop strategies for protecting ProQuest’s intellectual property.
6. Draft, review, and negotiate patent, copyright, and trademark agreements.
7. Monitor and report on changes in US and international patent, copyright, and trademark laws.
8. Stay abreast of new developments in the field of intellectual property.
9. Represent ProQuest in negotiations and legal proceedings related to intellectual property matters.
10. Prepare and deliver presentations on intellectual property topics.
