Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant

PruittHealth is looking for a passionate and dedicated Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for providing comfort and support to patients and their families during the end-of-life journey. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the hospice process and care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine commitment to providing quality patient care and a positive attitude.The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant must have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid state certification, and at least one year of experience in a hospice setting. Knowledge of the hospice process, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills, are essential. The successful candidate must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in order to provide compassionate, professional care.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comfort and support to patients and families during end-of-life journey.
2. Assist in providing quality patient care with a positive attitude.
3. Maintain knowledge of hospice process and care.
4. Display excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Work both independently and as part of a team.
6. Follow the policies and procedures of the hospice setting.
7. Assist in meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of hospice patients.
8. Inform hospice nurses of patient condition changes or concerns.
9. Participate in team meetings and other educational activities.
10. Assist in the admission and discharge process of hospice patients.
