Job Description

The Red Hat Middleware Productization Core team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us in the U.K. In this role, you will improve service resilience and fault tolerance in our production services. Your primary focus will be to improve integration with other systems and provide monitoring systems and metrics and rapidly identify developing issues. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will diagnose service failures, produce root cause analyses, and implement new build requirements and service features in a REST-based microservices architecture. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business. Implement service-level indicators (SLI) and metric dashboards. Monitor service health. Automate repetitive tasks Work within error budgets and reduce error rates in services. Streamline the deployment process to have zero downtime maintenance.

Job Qualifications

  • General knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines architectures

  • Experience with source code management like Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Gerrit

  • Experience with REST-based APIs and HTTP, e.g., REST microservice API, HTTP and HTTPS

  • Familiarity with designing disaster recovery procedures and business continuity planning

  • Experience with logging systems like Splunk or Kibana and ELK
